Who We Are

This Doesn’t Define Me is a youth-led nonprofit organization dedicated to dismantling the harmful stereotypes, stigmas, and barriers that impact the transgender community. Founded by activist and change maker Bella Bautista, the organization amplifies the voices of trans and gender-diverse people through advocacy, education, and direct action.

With a focus on intersectionality, This Doesn’t Define Me uplifts issues at the heart of our communities—including immigrant rights, racial justice, and HIV advocacy. Whether organizing protests, leading workshops, or building community care networks, we believe in the power of lived experience to drive systemic change.
